New Music and Condolences

Greeting from Richmond, I hope this finds you well.

New music time!

Taking Back Sunday's New Again.

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about this CD. Oh they don't sound the same because Fred isn't there any more blah blah blah shut up. Don't listen to them. If people who are true TBS fans actually listened to this album, and I mean really listen to it, they would understand that the album is about progression. Taking Back Sunday is moving in the right direction. The lyrics are classic Adam Lazzara and musically, this album is phenomenal. I do however give the most props to Matt Fazzi, the newest addition to TBS. I cannot even begin to imagine the type of pressure he must have endured joining one of the most legendary of what I like to call "Warped Tour" bands. He pulled it off. Kudos to you sir.

Moving on...

Killswitch Engage- Killswitch Engage (2)

Lucky me, I got the leaked version of the album... OK maybe not so much. Their first mistake was to release a second self titled album, that confused the crap out of me. Anyways, Howard Jones, you disappoint me. I have always held Killswitch in high regard because of The End Of Heartache being such a great record. However if they continue to release crap like this, then I might disown liking them. The only thing I can really say is that the drumming is solid through out the whole album but besides that, the vocals didn't fit in a lot of the songs, the guitars didn't fit together, and of course the bass is mastered out anyway. Save your money.

Darkest Hour - The Eternal Return

Good lord good metal is finally coming out of DC! I love Darkest Hour and this CD makes me love them more. If only other albums were this good I might actually not be as skeptical about new metal albums anymore. I've only listened to the first half of the CD since I just got it but I love it so far! I saw these guys for the first time a few months ago with As I Lay Dying, Protest The Hero and The Human Abstract and they were phenomenal. They really know how to put on a show. IF you like metal in the slightest get this album!

Rest in peace Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson and Billy Mays. I actually liked all of you so that makes this ten times harder to accept.

How about a review of Regina Spektor's Far? Haha.
